What the MTAC San Mateo County Branch Has to Offer

piano onstage for recital

The San Mateo County Branch meets regularly from September through June. Meetings feature guest lecturers, demonstrations and performances, as well as providing an excellent opportunity for music teachers to exchange musical and pedagogical ideas. The newsletter keeps members informed of events and activities.

The Branch sponsors regular student recitals that provide performance opportunities for students and teachers. Members may also have their students participate in the MTAC State-sponsored Certificate of Merit evaluation program.  In order to participate in the Certificate of Merit® evaluations in the spring, teachers must have current MTAC membership status, and have their membership dues paid by July 31st of the previous year.

The branch also owns and maintains two Yamaha Grand pianos, a C7 and a G1. MTAC San Mateo County Branch members can book the recital hall that houses these pianos.
